My Gallery
A space that shows my journey of healing and progression through photos and descriptions.
Night before surgery
At the time this photo was taken, my spinal curvature had reached its most severe state. Specifically, my upper back had a 75-degree thoracic curve while my lower back had a 67-degree lumbar curve.
Morning after surgery
Upon waking up the morning after my surgery, I felt very drowsy and my face was significantly swollen, making it difficult to see. However, despite these discomforts, the smile on my face is evidence of the immense gratitude I felt.
Physio 1 day after surgery
One of the most challenging aspects of my recovery was undergoing physiotherapy due to the excruciating pain involved. In this picture, I am shown working on regaining my balance and maintaining proper posture. My daily physio sessions also involved relearning how to walk.
Spinal curvature progression
Upon comparing these images to those taken on the "Night before surgery," it becomes evident that the curvature of my spine has been corrected to a significant extent.
X-Ray
Pre & post spinal curvature
These X-ray images provide a detailed view of the corrective measures taken for my scoliosis, as well as an internal representation of what a spinal fusion looks like.
Completely healed- 7 years post operation
This photograph represents the most recent state of my scar, which has healed completely and is now almost unnoticeable.
